About

I started practicing yoga regularly in 1997 with the wonderful Ruth Lovell who subsequently encouraged me to explore the path of yoga and the possibility of becoming a teacher.  Thanks to her unwavering support and reassurance I gained my teaching qualification from the Sivananda Organisation in 2002. Since then I have been lucky enough to practice with many other great and varied teachers from other yogic traditions, broadening my understanding of the many different yogic paths.  In April 2021, after practicing within the Forrest Yoga Community for around 6 years and wanting a fresh challenge, I completed their teacher training course which was, for the first time,  being offered online.  This meant I could train directly with Ana Forrest without the need to travel to the USA.

In August 2014, I completed a Diploma in Ayurveda Diet & Lifestyle  under the expert tutelage of Dr Deepa Apte.  I continue to attend trainings with her and am enormously grateful for her time and mentorship with my continued study of this vast subject.

Ayurveda is often called Yoga’s sister science. Ayur (meaning Life) Veda (knowledge) is the ancient Indian holistic medical system based on achieving physical and mental harmony with nature. It is a complex and fascinating subject which I enjoy studying hugely and continue to learn so much from – applying that knowledge in to my own life and sharing it with others at workshops and teacher trainings.
